I'm looking for advice again. I don't think I need anymore cash back reward cards and I think I'm good on hotel reward cards (the only ones I'm eyeing are Chase's IHG & Marriot, but I'm over 5/24 right now and have enought HH points to keep me good for awhile).
I'm thinking I'd like to get a few airline cards for potential travel so I'm looking at the Delta Skymiles Gold Card or the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard. I know the Delta would more than likely be just a soft pull w/AMEX (It said I was pre-approved when I his the "Apply" button. I don't get anything on the Citi prequal site, but haven't since I got the DC back in 12/2018. Based on my profile what might be my chances of just cold apping for the AAdvantage card? Should I app for both the Delta Gold and Citi AAdavantage? (I've got no baddies) Anything else I might consider?
Thanks!

I like to think about cards with AF's to ensure they are gonna be useful and the AF can be recouped through benefits/perks. You mentioned potential travel with Delta or American and I see you have a venture and CSP. Is there a reason you want these cards now with no plans insight (or am I misunderstanding)? While, I think you'd be approved for both, I'd wait till I knew I was going to use them. You didn't mention a preference of airline of who'd you'd most likely use, so that choice is yours.
But to answer your question, yes I think you would be approved for both.
Thanks for the quick response last night! I've got a few trips that some in my family will be making in the next year or so and I thought the miles on the cards might come in handy. I know I would always downgrade to the Delta Blue later (obviously after the AF hits), and maybe something similar for the Citi AAdvantage card. I've got an AAdvantage Plan where I've earned some miles already too.

Agreed with JAG73. Until you know the details of your trips, I would wait on apping.
The central problem with the OP is they are collecting too many currencies.
Citi: TY
Chase: UR
WF: GFR
Hilton: Honors
Then Capital One and AMEX too but only cash back with those. You don't want close any of the 2015 and prior cards either for AoA. You might be able to PC the Quicksilver to a Capital One Venture for transferrable airline miles. Also you might be able to PC the Cash Magnet to a AMEX EveryDay Preferred so you can start earning AMEX Membership Rewards.
That said apping for the Citi AAdvantage will help because as you are saying you are already collecting Advantage miles. Its also a World Elite Mastercard with benefits such as $5 off Postmates, Fandango and Lyft.
Lyft would be a good ride share to get into since not only is there a Citi AAdvantage discount but you can also collect Delta and Hilton Honors points with those rides. The Delta earn on Lyft would then pair with your Delta Gold application. Then if you had that converted AMEX EveryDay card you could register with Rakuten and get massive shopping portal bonuses all in AMEX Membership Rewards which can be moved to Delta at a 1:1 ratio.
There are the miles with the AAdvantage and Delta cards but the big advantage IMO is on bags. It will save you 60 dollars per trip per person R/T on bags alone if you check on an extened vacation. Buying flights for people and the savings are 120, 180, 240 ect.

Just wanted to say last I knew Amex will NOT allow anyone to PC a cash back card into a MR earning card.
With your healthy scores, why not wait until you get closer to traveling before apping? As your plans could change, you may end up with an af airlines card you won"t use for a while. With electronic applications and great scores like yours, the approval is nearly instant with card(s) in your wallet in a few days. The contrarian approach would be, yes get it now and earn a few airline points to use when that time comes. For this approach, you would need to have a good idea which airline(s) you would be utilizing in the near future for your best interests. Enjoy your future travels.
It takes a while to app for a card, receive a card, spend the SUB and receive the SUB.
That's why you might want to do it in advance.
The OP said his family might be traveling but did not say if they had to fly with the family. It sounds to me the plan is to meet the family at the destination so flying by themselves.

Thanks for clarifying.
