Alliant Visa Signature applied ( need help)

Last night pulled the trigger on applying for Alliant Visa Signature. Originally got a wierd error message after hitting submit, something to do with the URL was broken or not found, which was very weird. When I went back into the application it said it was submitted and wait for their response ok no problem. In the morning today got alerts from TransUnion and credit karma Etc , That Alliant pulled my credit report and there is a new hard inquiry on my report. The issue at hand now is, I got a message from Alliant after I already got the HP alert saying from Alliant my credit report is frozen or locked and they need me to unlock it in order to access my report. When I contacted Transunion they said my credit report was pulled from Alliant. Alliant is saying they didn’t get anything and TransUnion said it was indeed pulled . If they pull my credit again they said it would result in another HP. Not sure what to do?? Don’t want two HP’s on same report from 1 company. I sent photos of the alerts I received to Alliant stating my report was pulled. Waiting to hear back from them. Can I ask them to pull another agency to avoid getting 2 HP’s on 1 report?

Are your reports frozen OP? While they can HP your file, if the information or data is inaccessible then that's likely driving the error on that end.

Call them and see if they can connect you with the UW team to see what options are available or to resolve the error instance.

This happened to @woodyman100 as well with this card, believe the same scenario.. Not sure how it ended up.. Appears to be an error on their website.. Believe he took a double TU HP.  Maybe he can weigh in on what caused it and outcome

I had to call in. It was eventually denied for inquiries and new accounts.

i ended up throwing in the towel and closing the 3 year old membership. It’s a great CU, but not in line with my credit hobby😝

Good look on your App OP!

Re: Alliant Visa Signature applied ( need help)

After Alliant said my credit wouldn’t be pulled twice only pulled once. they Just pulled my credit again and now have 2 Inquires from them. Can I dispute one of the inquiries with TU?
Originally I Had 6 inquires, 2 from this year ( cc’s) and 4 from last year from a car loan.
New Accounts: have 3 new accounts 2 Amex (1 cc and 1 charge card) 1 capital one cc. Now since they pulled twice have 8 inquires caused my score to drop 8 points.

TU won't do anything about it.. Will have to get alliant to remove it or ask them to recode it as a SP vs. HP as has been done with many mess up likes this with other lending institutions.

Re: Alliant Visa Signature applied ( need help)

Thanks for the help much appreciated!! I spoke with a really nice person from Alliant yesterday. The women said to send a certified letter to them, detailing everything that happened with the double pull, and put in the letter , to have the second pull to be deleted since it should only have been 1 HP. That once I send the letter to them, then they can go a head and remove the second HP or recode how ever they are going to do it.
