Iirc there may even be some offers for non-Amazon stuff in there. I mainly have it set as a preferred pmt method in my Prime account. They did issue an auto CLI on the Flex about 6 or 7 months in last summer, but I was spending about 3k a month on that. Definitely can't accomplish that with a $1000 limit. I've got about $300 in mp3's I've gotta buy right now 😂
By heavy spend I just meant heavy in proportion to the limit.

Right. Makes perfect sense @SouthJamaica and @AverageJoesCredit . Never occurred to me. As long as I don't have to do the whole "making multiple payments per month" thing I'm good. I can hardly keep up with the sheer number of cards, that would just be asking for trouble.... not to mention more Grey hair.

The only CLI I ever got from Chase was achieved by taking a card with an 8k limit, on which I typically spent 200-300 monthly, and spending 2500 on it one month. A month or two later I got a 2500 auto CLI.
@SouthJamaica you think it's a timing issue? I've had that card since 2016 and have run it up to $1000 many times, and even let it report a few times since it immediately goes back to zero when you pay it off, and nothing.
They *do* seem to be giving out those increases more commonly nowadays, plus obviously my profile is in a different universe.

I don't know what goes on in these peoples' minds

There's a lot of factors involved besides timing. Think internal behavioral scoring and performance metrics. So, a lot hinges on account performance, but there are other external elements at play, which can also include tranches. Also, the recent CLI waves can be due to a plethora of other factors for those specific accountholders and their profiles plus any internal marketing campaigns to spruce card usage.
