AmEX HH Surpass CLI

A few months ago I applied for and was approved for the HH Surpass AmEX with a $1,000 SL. However, I am interested in seeing if AmEx would give an automatic CLI at or after 6 months. I know CapOne is a different company, but I received a 3X CLI on my Platinum Visa after six months of payments. If anyone has any datapoints I would greatly appreciate it... I just didn't want to get my hopes up for a CLI.

You can always call Amex and ask for CLI and see if they approve it. Does not hurt to ask.

I recently requested an increase about a month or so ago and was denied, which is why I was asking if they gave out automatic CLI based on experience. But thank you for your insight on this matter @Red1Blue.

You will be eligible to get a CLI at 61 days on an AMEX card (we were both declined at 61 days) , and if you are declined, you have to wait 91 days later (152 days from from the date the card was opened) to try again. DW and I both got 3X CLIs at 152 days on our AMEX cards. DW's Cash Magnet started with a $1000 SL and got a 3X CLI to $3K at 152 days, and another 3X CLI to $9K on her card, which was after 333 days. She's going to try for another 3X in about a month, which be after 514 days.

You need to make sure you wait 91 days after your last CLI attempt before you ask again.

@JNA1 Thank you for sharing those datapoints with me. I'll definitely keep this in mind the next time I apply for a CLI. My next attempt at a CLI will be 11/28. So, I'll make sure to keep you posted!
