Hi Everyone,
So after a ton of work and really getting my credit up to a much better place from my 580 score back in November ( currently at EQ: 626 EX: 616 TU:655) I beleive this last push in March and April to lower my UTI will give me the extra bump I need to feel a bit better.
So with that said I want to start seeding and I really want and AmEx again.
I say again because in my early 20's i was fortunate to have an AmEx Gold but like a totally misguided child i did not pay on time and my account eventually went to collects. Since then this account has been removed from my credit report as the 7 yr time frame passed. I have recently paid off the owed balance to AmEx via my old web portal login which is still an active portal on AmEx.com.
AmEx has indicated in the past that I am more than welcome to reapply for a card once the account had been settled. There even was a time they would offer me a new card if i paid off the old balance.
My question to you all is: What is the likely hood that I will be approved for an AmEx and if so which card do you think I have a shot at?
Thanks in advance everyone for your help.

AMEX has been known to give second chances to those who pay what they owe.
AMEX is a fair company in my eyes, once you repay what you owe them and given some time has passed they will reconsider you for a card.

They sent me that offer about 15 years ago. I had burned them in a BK back in 1982. Out of the blue I got an offer for an Optima card if I paid the amount that I'd burned them for.
