Amazon 7-10 message

I just apped for the Amazon store card and got the 7-10 message. I have apped in the past and been denied outright. Should I recon or just wait it out?

Except since the Amazon store card is UW by SYNCB, they do not recon.  If it is a verification request via snail mail, then the OP can contact them.  Typically, this would have been provided on the splash page with a number and ref # to call, but if OP didn't get that message it's likely a denial.

You're welcome and no worries 2011X.  I didn't want the OP to get their hopes up with a reconsideration effort if it wasn't going to bear any fruit.  Now, that being said, some 7-10 day messages turn into verification requests if the message on the screen doesn't display a number to call with a ref.  That happened to me with the Ebates Visa and eBay MC a while back...and you have to write it down or screenprint it real quick cuz it goes *poof*.

Re: Amazon 7-10 message

I'd call CS backdoor number for Sync, from my experience I have had several go to 7-10 message for cards back by Sync like BP, JCP, TJX, Ebates etc etc all turned out just a verification process and I was approved for all of them. When you call just tell them you wanted to check on amazon application status you applied for if it was denied they will tell you on the spot, if it was a verification they will just ask you more information and possible send you a code to verify your identity. If you don't and wait it out sometimes it could just hang in there system if it was a verification after a while they just deny it and send a letter. So go ahead and call and let us know how it went.

DOnt waste your time trying to recon. I tried and was hung up on by a MFB CSR. I am sick of trying with Synchrony.

Except that the advice provided upthread by dodgey is something that the OP can still pursue depending on whether they want to know the actual outcome (i.e. verification or decline).  Just because your interactions haven't been stellar with some lenders, it doesn't mean everyone will have the same experience (or deal with the "heffers" or "MFBs").  Not everyone on these boards is bitter Smiley Very Happy  At the end of the day, it's just a CC!

Well said! Every time I have called a CSR or did the chat option they have always been nice. They haven't always said what I liked but they were nice about it with the Synch accounts that I have.

I have nothing but great stuff to say about Sync and experience wise. Even at times I didn't want to hear the answer they would give but CSR always been nice and very helpful in anyway possible. Sure I've been denied and said sorry they couldn't give me what I would like, but once you build a rep with them it is nothing more then a golden charm after that. All you need is to get that foot in the door and work yourself a bit up with them then its like magic you will see you will go up and up with them. And yes they don't do recons but if you did apply and received the 7-10 message don't give up just call, even denial over the phone is better then waiting for a letter so you can carry on.
