Amazon Prime Rewards

So, I applied for the Amazon Prime Rewards card through Chase. For the first time, it wasn't instantly approved. Instead I received a 2 week notification status. Chase also hasn't pulled any of my credit reports oddly enough. Is this normal? I checked experian and transunion - nothing.

Re: Amazon Prime Rewards

Experian hard pulls usually get flagged right away but that isn't an absolute.  IME TU and EQ hard pulls may not be visible until the next day.

With a 2 week notice I would sit tight and call the robolady every morning to check status.  If it changes to 7-10 days speak to a live CSR.

Re: Amazon Prime Rewards

Interesting! What's the difference between a 2 week vs. 7-10 days status?

Re: Amazon Prime Rewards

7-10 day status can either mean an impending denial or they need additional information, the additional information could simply be that they need to confirm that it was really you that applied for the card.

14 day/2 weeks means that the application was reviewed and while it doesn't mean a final decision has been made more often than not it does lead to an approval.

I'm kinda at the same. Applied last week but still sitting on the "Thanks for applying. We recieved your application on 11/28/2021. You will be notified in appx two weeks of our decision" message. For this first 3-4 days it was the 30 Day notice along with the 2 weeks. Then it changed to just two weeks. I did however have an immediate HP on both EQ and EX.

Ah I completely forgot my Equifax report is frozen. But EX and TU are unfrozen. Maybe this is why I didn't get an immediate HP. Do you think it's worth calling Chase? Mine hasn't changed from the 2 weeks status.

Re: Amazon Prime Rewards

For me, two weeks was ID verification.

If you have no pulls on EX and TU with EQ frozen, you might want to give them a call.

TU, you can check via CK, EX still gives free monthly report. If neither one shows HP(s), it is possible they tried to pull EQ but couldn't.

Update: I called Chase after unlocking EQ. The analyst pulled both EX and EQ. She said the application would still need a little more time to be processed and gave me the same 2 week status. I'll post a final update once a decision has been made.

Final update: Logged into the Chase app on my phone and found out I was approved for $22,000. Not a bad SL.
