Amazon Prime Visa - want to app but util question first

So I have been examining where my spend is and what will benefit me better and the Amazon Prime Visa would be a good fit.  I have no HP's on EQ and EX this year but my hesitation on waiting until after 6/1 is a utilization concern on (1) card that reported last month.  My current overall utilization reported last month was 9% with one card in particular reported at 41% util which has bene paid down to a total balance of $50.

Should I wait until my reports update after 6/1 and the util lowers both overall and on that one card or safe to possibly pull the trigger now?  Current scores are 750's-770's.

Thanks!

I was approved for the Amazon Chase Visa at 47% UTL and my EQ score at the time was only 640.

Interesting to know and thanks for the response.  I'm also trying to play it safe to get the best SL I can.

Yes, that is true.  My SL was only at 2k but didn't complain knowing that my UTL was higher than usual.  I am sure you'll have a better chance with your score too.

I think you are good to go getting this card. Overall utilization is below 10% and your scores are great so...let er rip!

My advice in these situations is always to wait. If waiting another month could mean bringing all of your util to the ideal range, it could mean a $5k approval instead of a $2k approval. No way of knowing for sure, but I'd recommend waiting so you get the most favorable result.

2 weeks for a better report, id just throw darts on a board so somewhere, a lucky fella or lady can hear those Disco bells and get a cli ( see how simple to move the cli machine of Disco, everyone of all ages can play even while at homeSmiley Wink )

If it were 6 months, i say shoot for it now but always nice to go to Chase in your Sundays bestSmiley Wink

If you can wait until the 1st than I would. I think I had 5% util when I applied (I have a BT on a no interest card at the moment) and I got $5k.

Thanks for all the responses and I am definitely waiting until the new balance on that account reports before applying.  I'll update at some point on 6/1.

Solid decision and one that I think you'll be happy you made come June when you get a solid approval and nice SL.
