I got an instant denial for the Amazon Rewards Visa. I think I need to just count myself lucky with the cards that I do have and garden well into 2019.

+1 on gardening. You seem to be going after cards dedicated to people with excellent or “better than average credit”. Maybe try for some cards in your credit bracket. To be completely honest I’m shocked you have an AMEX with those scores unless they pulled the EX which seems to be a higher score. I would count your blessings you have really good cards based on the scores.

Yeah - the AMEX approval really gave me some false confidence. And you are correct in them pulling my EX! Thank you for the input. I think that I have really good cards too. I just need to be patient and wait to be able to CLI them.

It never hurts to call for recon! That's how I got my Amazon Visa 15 months post-BK. If you took the HP, I would recommend giving it a try. For mine, I was honest about my circumstances and they let me get my foot in the door. ![]()
