So I am a major Amazon shopper and today I had an invite to apply for the Amazon Secure Card. I would like the cashback on purchases and a path to a regular Amazon Store Card. And this is the first time I have seen the invite. I have seen some negative reviews on the card for different reasons. I am on the fence with this one I was denied a few months back for Amazon Store Card with a soft pull (Synchrony included in bankruptcy for 1.5K).
Has anyone had positive experiences with the secured card and graduated on time or early? And graduated with a decent credit limit?
Upon searching the board, I think I have seen only a few posts about Amazon Secure graduating.
Debating if I should just garden and wait a bit longer with a recent, PayPal credit approval. Any advice?

Tread lightly with Synchrony. It sounds like the Amazon card is a great fit for you but with a recent Synch approval, I'd give it at least six months between apps for their cards to be safe. If you're not familiar with their recent behaviors, there is a megathread about the shutdowns they've pulled on people the past year or so. Poking the Synch bear too much is very much inadvisable these days.
I would stay away. If you read the fine terms, it graduates at least 7 months later (for me it was about 9 months), however it never grows. The limit will always be what your original security deposit is.
Try pre-approving for better cards.
Thanks, I am going to wait a year and maybe apply for another card. I am going to avoid the Amazon Secure card for now. I really don't need to poke the Synchrony bear after just getting back in with PayPal Credit. Plus diversification is important since Synchrony close a lot of people's cards without warning or notice.

I'd echo the above. One of the recurring senarios for complete shutdown is when someone apps for multiple cards within a short timeframe. Given that they just opened the door for you a crack to let you back in after you had burned them taking it slow with a cadence of going at least 6 months between applications IMO would be prudent.
