I applied for this card on amazon and I got a msg saying I will get an answer within a few days.  I noticed I never even got a hard pull yet on my credit report.  Usually when I apply for anything it emmediatly shows up. Has this happened to anyone else?

That Visa is issued by Chase and they will not approve you with a recent BK -- maybe not even for 10 years.

Did you burn Chase in your BK?  If you did, they may have declined you without a hard pull, which would be ideal.

You can get the Amazon store card issued by Synchrony but not the Chase Visa.

Second that...If you burned chase in your BK they will not approve you, and typically you will have a hard time getting any kind of "prime" approvial until your BK has aged two years....

I got the chase amazon visa going through recon. I had a chapter 7 BK in 2007. They did a manual review, asked me a few questions. Approved me for 500. I know its not much but its a start with chase. I let a little 26$ bill charge to it every month and PIF.

OP- did you call the chase automated status line?800-432-3117

See what the message says. If it says you will hear from us in 2 weeks, very good sign. Hear from us in 30 days, good sign. Hear from us in 7 to 10 days, usually a decline.

OP, you can try checking the automated phone system but with a recently discharged BK it's going to be likely a declined outcome with Chase.  Once your BK ages for a while and your profile improves with tiem then Chase may be more flexible (provided you did not burn them or IIB).
