Re: Amazon Visa and Synch

Amazon Visa is your daily than you are gathering up savings on outside Amazon purchases in the future. Discover and American Express have this too in a roundabout way about using cash back for purchases directly but dorsnt deliver as much. In that regard if you have one of those represented in your portfolio Amazon Chase becomes less and less essential.

The Chase Amazon card is worse than the store card in every way.

It was good for the $80 bonus! Used it once now SD.

+1 for the store card. The earnings are better, and the ability to finance large purchases at 0% interest can't be beat. (We just bought a new mattress this way.)

I also have the Visa with a $6k limit. I plan to keep it for use during the holidays; however, I might change my mind about keeping it if Sync raises my paltry limit later this year.

That's funny. I buy just about everything on Amazon but never a mattress. Maybe my next purchase.. Smiley Very Happy

I would definitely keep it. No AF, easy growing limit, good for uti, and good benefits for Amazon shoppers. If you applied for it, and got the HP and the card, just keep it.

I believe the store card requires you have Prime. That is a cost of $99 per year.

But what that $99 gets you, man oh man. 2-day free shipping, movies, music, $20 off on new games (not digital), and a whole bunch more.

Re: Amazon Visa and Synch

I have both.

Use Amazon Store Card at Amazon... use Visa everywhere else to get points to use at Amazon.

And +1 on getting Prime! It rocks. If the $99 scares you try it for a month at $10.99 and see if you use it. (You pay more if you pay monthly but it's a good way to try it for a month or two) It has much more than just the free shipping and 5% back. Tons of benefits. Well worth the $99.

Agreed. Store Card is better for Prime Members but if you don't want Prime the Visa is better.

Store card No Prime = 0% cash back
Store Card with Prime=5% cash back

Visa with or without Prime=3%

Visa has no no interest promos tho.

I combined my Amazon Visa into my Chase Freedom. The reason I prefer the store card is for the no interest promos. That and the generous limit I received from Synchrony Smiley Happy

+1000

It is the best $99 i ever spent. An avarage of $150 spending a month, you get that money back with the 5% cash back Plus the 2 day free shipping on most purchases, and then the music streaming, video streaming. It is really unbeatable.

Re: Amazon Visa and Synch

December alone I made $42 back from my $99 Fee because of the 5%. If you add the savings of free 2 day ship it probably paid for itself already. That's not counting PrimeVideo and PrimeMusic and the other 10+ benefits you get as a Prime Member.

I was one of those "I don't want to pay $99" people... let me tell you I am SOOOOOOO happy I did. Best money I ever spent. I will be a Prime member for life.

And i think you can even use your Amazon card to pay for the membership and get $5 back bringing the membership to $94 to begin with Smiley Happy
