A couple of other questions here regarding this card. I noticed that the application goes through the Amazon site and not Chase... why is that? It would be nice to be able to do a Chase site pre-qual for this card but it doesn't seem that one can do that.
How new is this card? When was the Chase Amazon Prime card first made available? I'm hearing it's very new, but in looking at the credit pulls database it looks like it has been around for 10-11 years. Maybe the version changed or something?
What range of SLs are we seeing on the Chase Amazon Prime card? Like other Chase cards, is it difficult to get CLIs? Any feedback on this topic would be helpful. Thank you!
It's definitely not a new card, but they just changed the rewards to 5% for prime members now matching the prime store card. Not being under 5/24, it's a mad dash getting in with Chase!
BBS, I do not believe auto/installment loans count against 5/24 with Chase. You can also get this card if you're over 5/24. I did last week. However, this card does count against 5/24. Meaning that if you're currently at 4/24 you will qualify to get the card but now will be officially 5/24. If there's another Chase card you're looking for I would app for that 1st, then the Amazon Prime. Then you can have both...![]()

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I'd stand a decent chance at approval if I applied. Which bureau(s) were pulled when you apped out of curiosity? How was your SL?
And, an unrelated question here... why does the Amazon Prime card not have a Chase logo on it?
They pulled EQ for this card. Typically, they pull both EQ and EX for all of their own cards that I have. I haven't got my card yet so I don't know if it has Chase on the back. Also supposed to be a metal like card.
SLof 5K for me. It's a nice card if you use Amazon and have a Prime membership.
Chase is also my bank, and I'm sure that helps with approvals.
Roo, if you have 2 other cards in good standing, I'm sure Chase will approve you here. Especially if you have a bank account with them.
