Applied for amazon prime visa last night. 729 exp 727 eq 680 tu. I was pre approved so I applied and got the 30 day message. I called the robogirl a few hrs later and got 2 week message. Got a call at 8 am from chase to verify app, social, address, and mother's maiden name. Csr thanked me and said he would put it in for processing should be 7-10 days. Any idea of what's going on? I thought I may be on chase blacklist, but not 100% sure so I figured only one way to find out. I have thin file with 1 inquiry 8 months ago thanks.
@Djurz311 , Sounds like an approval, congrats! This scenario matches what happened to me when I applied. I received an approval email once the app was processed (either same day/or day after the verification call). The email showed the temporary limit. Once email is received, customer Service should be able to verify the actual limit if you are impatient waiting for the card to arrive. And if there was an offer, they will also attach the bonus gift card to your account as well.
The thing with Chase preapprovals is that they don't check for every possible factor that could lead to an automatic denial but if you don't have a bankruptcy reporting on your credit reports and you've never had a chargeoff with a Chase account (or with a bank that Chase later acquired) odds of an actual approval are high.
30 days means that your application has been accepted but hasn't yet been evaluated.
14 day/2 weeks means that the initial evaluation recommended a positive result. While not an absolute, when an application reaches this state it most often ends up with the final result being an approval.
The phone call was just verification that it was really you that had applied for the card. Not an absolute either but getting a verification call after a transition to the 14 dy status also leans to there being a positive outcome.
Feel free to continue calling the robolady daily but this sounds like you've been put on the approval track.
So I wake up this morning to a alert on chase credit journey for major derogatory. Capio assoc. for a unpaid medical bill that I'm not really sure is even mine. Csr said for $260 it will be deleted so I just paid it. She also said they report once a week, and wasnt sure if it would clear this week or next. Do you guys think chase will catch this?

Luckily they've already pulled your report. Hopefully it will be gone before they begin soft pulling your report for account reviews.
I thought I read they could no longer report medical bills to CB's? Geez, I need to do a bit of research on the subject.
I read where chase sometimes double pulls. I didn't know if they would do that at the same time or maybe stagger them with this drawn out process. I've been on the edge of my seat as it is then this happened. I did some quick research waiting on capio to open this morning. From what I gathered they can report anything over $500 mine was $520. As far as the bill it coincides with a visit to a urgent care I made. I googled the Dr, and she is all over the news for over prescribing pills for $. Scamming patients on covid tests, and billing for unnecessary testing ins. co are denying. I don't ever recall getting a bill from original creditor, but for $260 I'm happy it over. Thanks for the help everybody I will be back with results when I hear something.
