Just a data point.
Amazon Prime Rewards was my second CC (9/2014), from having no credit history. Starting limit $5000. My only other card was Cap1 QS Plat (9/2013), with a lower limit ($1750). I did not know my score back then. I had an auto loan as well. My Income back then was 60K-70K.

PenFed Credit Union (Pentagon Federal). They have been great to me!
How long does chase like to see between new cards and apps? If you got a new card three months ago would that be too soon to apply for the chase amazon?
The Chase Amazon card indeed is difficult to get. Last month I was approved for the card (SL=$10K) with scores slightly lower than yours. But it was like pulling teeth!
I was denied at first and had to call the recon line. The only reason I was ultimately approved is my longstanding, deep personal and business banking relationship with Chase. They look at every aspect of their credit "exposure" with you, including your business cards.
Good luck!
I got my Amazon Prime Visa from Chase on 2/10/18. At that time I had a Cap One Plat MC CL $500, and a Cap One QS1 $5,300 limit. The limit on the QS1 had been $300 until I received a CLI on 1/25/18. I had 2 120 day lates , and 1 30 day late on my CR at that time. My income is reported as $80K.
I was instantly approved for a $6,000 SL and when I received my card and created my online account I showed a CL of $8,500.
That limit is more than enough for my spend on this card, but I would like a CLI for Util purposes. I am going to wait until my 12th statement cuts and if no CLI I MIGHT consider taking the HP for one.
Is the Amazon Prime Credit Card subject to Chase's 24/5 rule?

@Anonymous - Yes, the 5/24 restriction was expanded to the rest of their previously non-restricted CCs as of mid-Novemb
I got approved with a 65k income and around 15 EX inquiries, scores at 706. They asked me for verification (first card with Chase) and then approved me for $2500.
I'm a bit surprised to hear the card is tough to get seeing as I got it with a pretty mediocre credit history. I want to say it's the 3rd card I ever got besides the Capital One platinum and AMEX Everyday. This was before one of my charge offs dropped off and had any kind of long credit history.
On 2/20/2017 I received the "Introducing the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card" email.
My application was approved with a 1K limit the next day. The card was sent 2 days later.
I would definitely try again.
The Prime card was my third card to get, and I'm only 19. My first card was the day I turned 18 (Discover) with a $2000 limit, and then my second card was Citi ThankYou Preferred (with an absolutely amazing APR) almost 11 months after I got my Discover card. And then this last September I applied and I was denied, and when I called the backdoor number it was mainly because I had jsut under a year of credit. The guy wouldn't budge so I kinda just let it go. About a month later I started thinking about Christmas gifts and I figured, "Hey, why not let's try." I ended up applying again for it and got an instant approval for $2300, which isn't my highest limit, but it sure has served me as well. It's now my favorite card. Also, I had around a 730 credit score so that was a pretty good number I'd say when I applied. I also have lower income than you and was approved so I have a feeling you'll have a good chance getting this card.
