What income I meant. Lol
I was able to get the BCP with a $2500 limit. My income is under 13k. So income seems to be low on the list of priorities.

Glad you were able to qualify. The 1 collection on my report hinders me at times, so they probably then looked at my income. My income is $40K. My BF is close to $80K. He has the BCE. I got the ED, but was told my profile did not support the BCE. Could be credit score and income or both. The CSR was very specific on my needing to put some age on my cards and get my score up and then try again at some point in the future.
I have Discover, Cap 1 QS, Cap1 Plat., Nordies, Neiman Marcus. Just got a nice CLI at Nordies $2000, declined CLI Neimans. "Joint" income, because we file together, $180... I started working on this around a year ago, when I decided to get a Nordstrom CC. I wish I had known about this forum before I started, though. I made a few bone head mistakes in the beginning. Too many apps, too fast... Now I'm alot more careful the app process. I'd rather wait and be sure, than take a chance with a borderline score. It is kinda addicting though
Income is great so I think you could do well with Amex. I would give it a shot. I think we all have made poor choices in our journey. I'm letting go of some Comenity cards each month. Again, I want to applaud you for establishing your own credit identity. Keep us posted on what you decide. I am trying to behave myself by not apping for anything new, just working on CLIs. Sam's is next on my list for an increase. Good luck. Been great corresponding with you.

Ex 708 10% util only baddie 6+ year unpaid judgement. Ex will take it off in jan. I just have a feeling it will be a denial. Even if I go for ED.😔
Your scores are 50 points higher than mine. My last collection won't fall off until next spring. Despite that they approved me based on my income, not BFs. If I had a choice it would have been BCE or BCP. I don't like the monthly purchase requirements to get the points. I prefer just straight rewards. I shop alot at Walmart and Sam's and they don't take Amex so I use their cards for shopping and pay the balance. Some bills take Amex and some don't. Geico does but BCBS doesn't. Tried Costco for a year but the staff at our store were just rude whereas everyone at our Sam's and Walmart were super friendly. Some say the Plenti is easy to get. Macy's keeps sending me emails about signing up for Plenti rewards, but I get enough emails as it is. I would like BBVA NBA card Boston green, Macy's Amex, or BCE but maybe someday. A denial is only bad if you have too many INQs. Won't know unless you try.

That bce is the one I went after with a 645 and 30% util. I'm contemplating ED. 😁
If you got it with those scores, you should do okay with ED. Besides, you already have your foot in the door with Amex. Understand your reluctance. No one likes being denied. Whatever you decide, it will be the right choice for you. Good luck.
And your score is higher now? I would try again if it is over 700

I'm sorry I thought I wrote it was a denial. No cards with Amex 😔 that's why I'm afraid to try now.
