I just got approved for my first American Express, which is the Delta Gold Credit Card, which is exciting in and of itself for my credit rebuild! I also applied for the blue cash everyday and the amex everyday cards which are showing "In-Progress" status. Is there a limit to the amount of time that needs to pass to get approved for more than one credit card in a short period of time?
If you try to apply for too many cards too soon, you could be a target for financial review and proivde tax returns and other things. Just be cautious with your new accounts and applicaitons especially in this current economic conditions.
2 revolvers in a 90 day period. Usually about 8 days between apps because fraud prevention will delay the app processing anyways, but people have been approved for 2 or more in shorter times. In the end, amex does what amex wants so it's possible to exceed the limits if your profile supports it. That being said, amex is currently scrutinizing new members much more closely because of the current economic conditions.

@Anonymous American Express will only approve one credit card application in a five-day period and no more than two credit card applications in a 90-day span. So at least one of the pending applications will be cancelled/denied and its likely that both will be denied if your credit profile is not strong enough. You can get a charge card and a revolving credit card approved in close proximity but two credit cards is a much tougher proposition.
What was the starting limit for the Delta Gold card?

a whole lotta this....
I did not heed this advice last year, and chase and Amex took AA against me. Lost my chase card (oh dear CSR... how I still lament thee), chase still has me on their "unsatisfactory previous relationship" list, and Amex locked my business and personal account down every month on statement close for the business platinum account LIKE CLOCKWORK and demanded payment IN FULL be scheduled immediately for several months following because of this. And that was last year, during a supposed boom.
Don't poke the bears. They bite.
$1000 for the Delta Gold Card, which is one of my lower credit card limits sadly haha
Well I won't mind getting declined for the other two, I am happy with what I have gotten for the time being, knowing my credit history. I really do not want to go through financial review so hopefully they will just decline them and move on. Not that I lied on my income, It's just a pain to find all the documents haha, thanks!

@Anonymous A $1,000 credit limit means you were just barely approved for the Delta Gold card so the odds are that Amex will not approve your other two applications. Did you receive an email from Amex with suggested steps you should take to increase your credit limit?
@Anonymous I don't believe I did, I don't see one about credit limit increase.

That sounds rough! What happened? They just did you like that for opening cards?
