American Express Gold Card Approval Odds???

Hello all, Hope all is well. I got a question based on your guy's opinion, of course, I really want the Amex Gold Card due to my new job I'll be spending a lot on expenses and I would love to take the opportunity to take advantage of this card benefits. So here some data for me. I have around a 750-755 fico 8 score based on Experian, I have 6 cc's , credit utilization is under 5%. 2 inquries in the last year, with Amex Delta gold card being my last inquiry and my last card I got around 6 months ago. No missed payments / no loans ever , no pre approval offers last time I applied for the Amex gold card I was denied. Any idea if this time around I have good odds? Income: 60k$]

When and what were the denial reasons for the last time you tried to apply for the Gold card?

Hey! Last time apparently 'too many inqiruies ' - I have 2 last year which is odd at the time it was 4 so maybe believable, secondaly ' too short time with amex ' - ' too short credit history ' / oldest card 2 years 2 months / 6 months as amex card holder.

I'll be honest and say I'm surprised they declined your Gold app the first time. Best guess is the short credit history and fact you just started a relationship with AMEX as the culprits here. Think if it's been six months since the denial then you should be good for applying again and having better odds of getting approved. Your other credit stats look good to me to see any problems. Worst case since you're already a cardholder it will just be a softpull if denied again and you can try once more in the future

I decided to apply again, I went on 'apply new' after checking I had no pre-approvals, and when I clicked applied it showed I was pre-approval was very confused, submitted the application for instant approval!!!!
