I have been rebuilding my credit over the past several months. I have gotten my Experian FICO up to 629 as of today. I used to have a AMEX BCP and burned them for $12k back in 2014 or 2015. I did settle with them for around 50% back in 2018. I have apped for the Delta Gold and and Gold Rewards earlier this year and got declined. I assumed I would get declined for the Green card too, but in the "Status of Application" column all of my past attempts say "Declined" including the Delta Gold I apped for tonight right before the Green. However, the Green Card says "Provide Required Information". I wonder if that means I could maybe be approved? I called Amex but the department I need to speak with won't be in until tomorrow. Fingers crossed that I have a chance at being approved.
Good luck! I hope you are given a second chance! Ill be looking for your update

Sounds like ID verification and if so, that's probably a good sign. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Man I hope it is ID verification! I would be ecstatic if I get approved and get a second chance with them.
Fingers crossed for you!! Good Luck 👍
Hate to be that guy, but it probably means cancelled.
At least all of mine that were cancelled change to that status on the page
Excessive apps = cancelled
@Anonymous
Are two apps considered excessive?
Because you came to an agreed settlement with them there will be a day when they're willing to let you back in, the question is if it's been long enough yet. I know we've had a few members here who settled in full that reported approvals at 61+ months but I don't remember any reported results at 5-6 years out when there was an agreed-upon partial settlement. (no settlement meant denials)
If they deny you a Green card but counteroffer you with an Optima card take it, it's a stepping stone and if you don't abuse it in a year they should be willing to approve you for the card you want.

Applying for a revolver (Delta Gold) and a charge card (Green) on the same day has traditionally been OK but normally one would wait for the 1st card to be approved before applying for the 2nd one.
I know I took the wrong route maybe in my applying, however I thought maybe there would be a sliver of hope with slightly different underwriting on the Charge card. I Still have my fingers crossed that it works out.
Does anyone ever remember anyone getting declined for revolver and then get approved for a charge card in the same day?
