Amex 2-for-1 application and approvals?

2 approvals 2 hps. Applied a few hours apart. They approved one instantly and held the 2nd app in processing for a week.i called a few times that week. They said the 2nd app would 100% be an hp and it was. 7 days later. Still happy with both cl.

It could very well depend on the profile and number of inquiries currently present.

It sounds like for the best chance of two approvals for one pull, do one right after the other.  I might try this in January 2015, when I go for my annual backdate card.

When I got my Green card and ED card, I was instantly approved for the first online and immediately went for the ED card after that and had to call Amex directly to find out if I had gotten approved or not. They were able to tell me what my limit was early but then it continued to say in progress for a couple of days until I called back again and answered some verification questions.

yes,    I apped for Delta Gold and then minutes later applied for Amex Green and was approved with only 1 hard pull..   Monrhs later I did the same for Amex PRG and AMEX Hilton HHonors with 1 hard pull.

Thanks Alvon.  I think that's what I'll try next time.  I need to close one of my revolving accts (I have 3) and I think 4 is their max.
