I opened a BCE card 12/24/14. I had read on these forums people were getting increases lately after 31 days instesd of 61 so I pulled the trigger today. I got the 7-10 day message. Do I now have to wait 90 days to try again? Or can I try again once my account is 61 days old? I asked this on the Definitive Amex 3X CLI Guide forum but didn,t get a response. They started me off at such a low limit. I figured if some people were getting early luv I had a shot. But I really hope I don't have to wait 90 days.
did you check your Amex page again? Sometimes people get that message but an increase actually did go through.
I checked. Nothing. One reason I wanted to try early is I opened a Discover the same day that hasn't reported yet. I think the reason for the low limit is I've opened too many cards recently.

I don't think they're that sensitive to new accounts as much as other lenders are. The weird part with me is that I didn't get the full 3x CLI on my Delta card but a few days later got approved for the ED card.
How much have you used the card thus far?

Since you have multiple AMEX cards, you might have to wait 180 from your last CLI (regardless of what card it was on)

I've run less than 1000 through it. paid it off a few times. Maybe 800-900. Not really sure

Same thing happened to me. I started off at a low limit on my ED card ($1000) when it was approved November 1, 2014. Tried the early 60 day 3x cli around 12-15 and was told I was too early. I then tried requesting the CLI **AFTER** my official date and was denied because AmEx considers the original request that I made in December to be an outright denial. Some chat reps have told me to re-apply for the CLI after April 1st while others have told I need to wait until after June 1st. No one really seems to know when I should apply. I'm guessing you're going to get different answers from different CSR's too
The funny thing is the same day I was denied a CLI on my ED I was approved for the PRG.

Exactly!!! Me too!
Yep I got turned down after like 26-27 days on delta... waited a week got the letter and said it was denied for various reasons and to new to AMEX.. This was a 1k Delta card so I could get in the door with Amex. Decided after denial letter for dela card hoping for a better CL like 2k so it wouldn't sting so much, applied and got approved for 10k on the ED card after only have the delta alittle over a month.. Go figure..
