I don't think that's WHY it's there. Some people are able to have a transaction approved above their limit. But like jdxprs1, I tried it today and input $4500 and it said no. Lol!

My starting CL $2k and I have an $1100 balance that'll be paid tomorrow. This is my second statement, first one was PIF. But I had a bonus of $250 cash back for $1000 spend so I wanted to meet that. My 61st day was Friday the 21st.

I'm going to wait til after my May statement cuts which is May 10. The FICO they pulled for April is 681 and my EX is like 708 now. Plus I would have paid another statement in full.

I just don't want to get denied!!

Received the dreaded  "you will receive a written response within 7-10 days.  Guess that's a denial? Oh well...90 days will come soon enough.

When I first tried for the 3x CLI earlier this month, I also received that notice. However, it also provided a number and I gave it a call. The CSR told me that I had jumped the gun a little bit and to try again in a couple of days. I did just that and got approved. They were very helpful and easy to deal with.

I got an email following the denial on the CLI request screen that had the number in it.

So sorry to hear. This could be score related or not. Just call the number on the back of your card and let them know that you applied for a credit line increase and would like to know the status of the increase. They will talk to you and let you know why. I hate playing the guesing game.....could be just a verification or early request thing for all you know...good luck!!
