Had nothing better to do for a while than play on CK. Put in wifes info for Amex and it comes back prequallified 13.74% intererest. Her experian score is 710 AA 1.8 years High card 13K But 6 inq including one to get our electric deposit back. She has one inq coming off in 3 months. Any ideas on this really getting approved. Amex own site shows nothing. I am tempted to wait for the inq to drop and her AA to go 2.0. Any thoughts. This would be her last personal card as want a biz Amex this year also and then done for many years.
If this helps any my mother-in-law had the same offer for her on CK so she had me check to see if she qualified so I did the pre-qual on AMEX website and they pre-qual her immediately according to CK her TU was 720 and her EQ was 710 at the time she had 4 inqs on both reports and her AA was 8months, At the time this all happened 2 months ago.
Sorry I don't have any info on her EX report but since she was approved for the card i'm assuming her score was close to EQ and TU
Everything on CK is bunk marketing at best.
Go get your EX score since that's what AMEX uses - www.creditscorecard.com/registration
Mind you that pre-quals don't always work with AMEX. I tried many times over the years to get something to pop up and finally bit the bullet on a cold app and got 10K out of them 7/2015. So, 13.74% sounds like a lock when it comes to the criteria they're looking for but, it's always good to get some hard facts like your score even though that only plays a small part in what they look for.
While it's nice to have a ballpark idea of "odds" it's just a gimmick. Every click on "Apply now" generates revenue for CK. After a few years of this though there might be some data that they can correlate approvals based on their "score" that is a Vantage score and not a FICO 08 that the lenders actually use. The variance in the scoring models can be so much that they aren't even in the same ballpark sometimes. Just take the time to consider and evaluate the product you're thinking about getting.

I was pre qualified with Amex though CK like a year ago with a soild apr 13.89 or something. I tried it. Came back approved. At the time my Ex score was much lower than your Ex's.
I think they are soild offers 99% of the time.
You have to be careful with CK. They give junk offers and (at least they used to) give solid pre-approvals. In the case of Amex, if you already have an Amex, I think it is very unlikely they will give you a true pre-approval. If you don't have Amex and the APR is solid, it is likely a good offer. Still I would rate it YMMV since it isn't based on your EX CRA.
Thanks for the info. The 710 score is from CCT. Which is in line with her others. My other concern is Amex version of grocery store. The Walmart superstore is closest to me unless I shop at Bob's General Store. Their is a neighborhood market at 17 miles another direction but Visa does not show it in the code listings and Discover calls it a superstore (lol). My butcher yes there sill around is not coded as grocery but as general store. Bad part Bob's General Store is coded as a grocery, is less than 1 mile from my house but only charges 30% more than walmart. We also have a Kroger slightly more than Walmart but NOT clean. This is why we shop only every other week.
