Amex Blue denial

Hey guys applied for the basic blue and got denied, they pulled Experian with a 712 kinda disappointed about this.

Our evaluation of the inquiries on your credit report based on the number, type and recency. (Experian)

Our evaluation of the accounts on your credit report based on the number, type, length of time opened, and credit risk level. (Experian)

Too few of your accounts or loans have always been paid on time during the last 24 months (Experian)

The length of time is too short since the first account on your credit report was opened. (Experian)

Are the reasons they cited for denial. Is it worth a recon call or should I just take the loss and garden?

Re: Amex Blue denial

Recon is ALWAYS worth a call (unless we're talking about Cap One lol)

Give it a shot because you have nothing to lose.

Sorry about the denial but you never know!

Good luck!

Re: Amex Blue denial

The third reason shows late payments on acts. If this correct, I don't see a recon. Especially if lates are somewhat recent.

Re: Amex Blue denial

^^^ agreed. If the reasons are accurate per your profile then recon is unlikely to help.

Have you pulled a recent report to verify this? If so I'd try the recon. I think its odd that they would through out a generic late payment reason in there. But I could be wrong. Stranger things have happened. Best of luck!

Re: Amex Blue denial

If you have lates that's gonna be a no go with AMEX

I don't take that as you paying late but as a short pay history. Seems like you have opened too many accounts in a short period of time for their liking. You could always try a recon.
