Amex CLI Request - 4506-T

I just requested a CLI on my Amex Aspire from $40k to $50k, and got the 4506. Promptly submitted it as I have nothing to hid. I do think it's silly to look at last years income, when this years income is what repays the card. Just saying.

True enough but this year's income isn't accessible via 4506-T until sometime next month, so they have to go off of 2018 pay.

Given that the mandatory filling date for 2019 personal returns was pushed out to 7/15 I wouldn't expect 4506-T requests to return 2019 data for a while yet, certainly not by August.

Agreed completely - I didn't even think about that.

Re: Amex cli 4506

Hi @Anonymous, the thread you replied to was old and some of the info was possibly out-of-date, so I've moved your post (and the replies) to a new thread to get your topic more exposure.

Re: Amex CLI Request - 4506-T

OP: please keep us posted on how this goes. I started down the same path in May. Two months later, Amex was still waiting to receive the tax transcripts from IRS. They blamed COVID. I gave up and canceled the big CLI request. (You probably know this, but Amex will often give $5k without IV.) I hope the process goes smoother for you and I would appreciate hearing whether that is or is not the case.

Re: Amex CLI Request - 4506-T

I just requested a CLI on one of my tradelines with Amex yesterday and they requested the 4506. I filled it out and called today to check and see if they rec it . They said give them a few days to get it back. I did opp to ask for 2019. I have them on my account in IRS already filed and i guess if i can get my own 4506 i am sure they can pull it. I would like to see what your and my outcomne is thou.,!
