A week ago, I tired to 2x my current limit on my Amex BCE, but i got denied and today letter in the mail saying:
"Your account was opened recently, and your tenure with American Express is too short."
I had thought this is a message you only get when your account is less than 61 days...and I opened mine in Dec 2019. Any info or past experiences?
Wait longer?
Looking at your other cards, Amex highest limit. Only one other close. Some recent apps. I think they want more history with them before extending more.

Wait on more pre-approvals to show up.
What He Said ^^^^^^^^
For starters, 90 days after denial. Then you can try again. Assess your current profile and decide if its worth the try again. If not add another 90 days to give you a feel good 180

Yes you have to wait 90 days before they even will consider a CLI after a request, I know that from talking to a representative. On that note I didn't get my first CLI with them for over 6 months. Good luck!!!
Ok, thank you for your guys' answers. I will try again in 90 days!
