Amex Cli Process

Hi All,

So it looks like the original 3x CLI megathread is no longer completely valid so I'm curious if anyone know how the process works now.

I originally had a Costco Amex for which I got a CLI on 1/20/16 (176 days ago). In February I applied for and recieved a Amex Blue Cash Everyday card with a opening credit limit of  $7,700 (this was 2/17/16). I applied for the BCE card since I knew my Costco Amex was going away.

I have not requested a CLI on the BCE card.

I know the rules used to be 61 days past account opening you could apply for a CLI and then it was every 180 days after that. Is this still the case?

Since my last CLI was on a different card (The BCE was a new account not a product change) does the 180 day rule still apply or should I be good to just do the CLI now? Is it still going to be a soft pull or have tey started doing hard pulls?

Is my best best to request 3x cli or should I do something less(say request an increas to 15k which would basically double my line of credit).

Right now all my scores are in the 740-760 range so I think I should be good on that front.

Thanks for the advice!

Re: Amex Cli Process

From what I have learned from others here it is 180+ days from the last CLI.

As far as the CLI amount to request I was at my initial CL of 10,500 on my BCP and requested 25,000 and it was instant approved (the SP on my EX then was 739).
