Amex Credit on File

Does anyone know if Amex keeps your credit report on file for a certain amount of time? For instance, I applied for one card a week ago, and was declined. Does anyone know if that credit pull is kept on file for certain amount of time? (I applied for the blue cash everyday with a 687 FICO) Requested a reconsideration but thought of applying for the blue card that allegedly has more lenient credit criteria.

Re: Amex Credit on File

What were the reasons for denial? Did you try the prequalify site for amex?

I doubt they will approve you if they just denied youSmiley Sad

Re: Amex Credit on File

Amex has a policy of no new apps if you've been declined within the last 30 days

They keep everything! Storage is basically free these days. Why wouldn't they.

They may not keep the CR on file, but they definitely keep the data. So, if you were denied a month ago—and I’m willing to bet even a year ago—they know.

You could possibly be approved for the charge card—but that has to be paid in full monthly.

If you provide us with some DPs, we can guide you in the right direction.

Do you know this to be a fact or are you just strongly speculating?

Re: Amex Credit on File

OP, I'm assuming you're asking if they'll re-use a pull. They will not. Though, I have heard of people doing a recon and talking their way into another card when not being approved for the one they want.
