Applied 4/18/2018.
My scores are relatively terrible right now to what they should be. Showing utilization through the roof at 43% because they haven't reported to the bureaus which should bring me down under 5%.

With Amex, I've had the Blue Cash Preferred (10k starting limit, no increases) since 2016 in good standing, a closed PRG card, & a Platinum card since 01/2018
I applied around midnight with no instant approval. Got the we need to review message. Woke up, no email. Checked the status online: In Progress. Waited a bit. Called the recon number on my way to the grocery store. Spoke to someone, in another country I'm assuming, who verified my identity with the standard questions & da-ta he said I'd been approved for 2k. I was expecting a few questions similar to my Barclay recon for my Uber card, ex. Why is your utilization so high, employment/income verification, why so many accounts so quickly, etc. But nothing. This is only the 2nd time I haven't gotten an instant approval, & I was horrified about the recon process based off things I've read in forums, but I can't imagine it gets any easier than that. A little disappointed about the low initial limit but I plan on reallocating most of my BCP to the Everyday to really take advantage of the no fee + 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 15 months
