Cousin24- What exactly is your question / What are you trying to say or ask?
My question is if anyone has a clue as to lowest scores approved for Amex everyday? I looked and didn't find anything on this site. My mistake for not leaving enough info on my post.
>670 or 680 and you are probably ok, but 700 to even be better off. I think the ED might be easier to get than the Charge cards even now from what I have seen, but no hard proof on that other then reading approval threads and credit pulls db.
Amex ED I was able to get a couple of months within getting in with Amex. Having good payment history with them really helped and I got the best terms on that card too.

@CreditDunce wrote:Amex uses an internal score. You can't be sure of getting approved based on a FICO score. However, my guess is over 700 EX-08 score. If you have a good relationship with Amex or high income, the needed score may be lower. If you have high utilization, the score needed may be higher. YMMV
Amex also seems ot have been pushing the ED/EDP cards this year. They might be willing to approve for the cards with slightly lower scores than the other revolvers (apart from the Delta revolver).
My daughter is 23, has a hospital collection on her report and is mid 600s, She got approved for the ED on Saturday with a low $1k limit but approval none the less. Amex's internal scoring is all over the place.
It is just that FICO model doesn't necessarily match Amex's model. Maybe Amex discounts medical collections. In which case, your Daughter's Amex score could be higher than would be implied by her EX-08 score. EX-08 is basically a FAKO score as far as Amex goes, but it is the closest we have to Amex's internal score.
Yeah and my Exp score that Amex sent with my approvals is exactly the same as my Exp Fico score. It's just weird to me how they decide what to approve and for whom.

Thanks for answering... As long as your scores are in the higher 600s, you should be fine. But it depends on the internal scoring as others have stated. If you scores are good, give it a shot ..
