I think I know the answer to this but in all honesty I don't pay that much attention to charge cards since they don't interest me much.
Today when I logged in to pay my Amex cards there was an offer for the Gold/rose gold (my choice, not that the color of a card has ever influenced its usefulness) with 75,000 MR for $5,000 spend in 3 months. Is this the highest SUB that Amex has done on this card?
The offer was listed on the "offers" section, as a banner across the top of the website and as a pop-up, I guess they really wanted me to see it.

That offer is usually for platinum. Gold usually has $4k spend for 60k MR (or more). How long though usually depends but its usually 3 to 6 months depending on where youre getting the offer from.

Ok I have to ask, what kind of stores are in "home furnishings" category? that sounds like a very targeted credit (which I guess should be expected from Amex)
75K MR points, especially with the additional $200 in home furnishings offer, is very good for the Gold card. I got the 75K offer last year with six months to meet the SUB spend requirement, and that was higher than the normal SUB being offered. I've been told that in the past, you might see SUBs get up to 100K MR points on Gold but that is pretty rare.
Both Gold and Platinum SUBs are still higher than average right now. I've looked regularly in the past few months and I'm still seeing periodic 100K MRs on Platinum as well as periodic 75K on Gold. AMEX changes the SUB offerings so if you check in regularly you may see them change, especially if you clean out your cache between visits or if you visit at different times of day or from different web browsers or locations.
