Like the title says, yo. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere before.
Just curious since I was denied a 3x CLI request because of having too much available credit.
Without being able to verify it I doubt it counts towards your total credit limit with AMEX because POT doesn't report to the bureaus though there may be an off chance it counting towards some internal limit. It may that the reason is just that reason AMEX provided to you declining your CLI request

I think there is an internal limit I'm butting up against because I got a Green card recently with only a miserable $1000 pay over time limit. For comparison, my Platinum and Gold cards are at $35K and $25k respectively. Including POT limits, my exposure across all cards is $86k.
I'm not mad, but definitely curious.

I personally don't think they count since I can use the spending power tool to take it over the $35k POT limit on my personal plat and business plat sees even more action than that. If you're curious call them and see what they say regarding that but my guess is it does not
I had a Gold card with a $35k POT limit as well as spending limit.
My Platinum has never had an offer to be enrolled in POT yet, and a spending limit of $10,000, even though I closed the Gold in October.
