DH appears to be pre-approved for Amex Plat. I travel extensively for work and could really use the lounge benefits for domestic travel. They have language in the AU terms that says AU can’t have a previous default with Amex.
I’m an AU on his BCE for almost a year now. Just wondering if anyone is an AU on another Amex card with prior default and got denied for AU on Plat?
if they have already let you be an AU on the BCE, they will let you be one on his Platinum as well.

Well, DH was approved for the Plat card earlier. Added me & our 18 year old son as AU. Hoping he can add our 13 year old daughter as well to get the Global Entry credit for her since we already paid the $175 AU for me & son. Has anyone added a 13 year old to their Plat since they recently lowered the age limit?
You should be fine adding your daughter to DH's Plat card. Because she's underage when you provide her SSN/DOB they just need to confirm her age with the info given before they send her card out. If you need it quickly for whatever reason better to call Plat customer service to get them to add it so it can be expedited.
I'm assuming you defaulted on a charge card with them, then? Interesting that they would blacklist you for one, but not the other. Especially since a blacklist carries across charge and revolving.

The card was delivered right after posting this in beautiful hardwood packaging.
Upon activation, he was able to check on AU cards and only our son was listed. He added our 13yo daughter sucessfully. Tried to add me again, but it was declined. So I guess even though I’m an AU on BCE I’m on the Platinum AU blacklist...big bummer!!!
There's a work-around... have your husband add you to the Platinum (online should be fine), but don't provide SS# and DOB.
You should get the card, and when you activate it you'll have to provide SS and DOB but it should go through just fine.

@UncleB that was what he did initially when he applied, he didn’t provide any info for either me or our son. The second time he added the info. Neither worked!
I'm at a loss on this one... it's especially interesting how they would decline adding you without the SS# and DOB, since it's common for family members to have the same names.
I know you mention that he didn't add your info on the first attempt (when he applied), but just for 'giggles' I would try once more since the account is now established. Have him go online, and not supply your info (other than your name, of course).
It might not work, but it might... in either case you won't be any worse off than you are now (and in the latter case you'll have your card).
