Re: Amex Prequalify Reliability

I've never been pre quail for Amex. I appd back in April with a 645 ex score, denied. I waited 3 months until I had a 709 ex apped again for ED,and was approved. Yet I still had no pre approval. My suggestion is to bring up your score. Not sure of your util.(in April the denial letter also cited my util was to high at 30%) I brought it down to 9%.

Re: Amex Prequalify Reliability

I decided it's probably too good to be true with my scores and skipped AmEx. Instead I applied for the VentureOne, upgraded my QuicksilverOne to a regular Quicksilver, and had my APR reduced, all approved Smiley Happy.

Re: Amex Prequalify Reliability

Thanks. They gave me $3000. Also got 0% intro till July 2016 and qualified for 20k bonus miles after $1000 purchases in the first 3 months. They offered to convert my original QuicksilverOne, but then I wouldn't have gotten either of those Smiley Happy.

Re: Amex Prequalify Reliability

Nice! I spend 6K a month on my cards so I should hit it right when I get my card too. If they stay true to how they treated me with my other cards I should be getting CLI's in no time.
