When I go on the Amex application page and put my information it gaves me the following message:
We're Sorry
Our systems are currently updating;please check back on this site in 24 hours. Sometimes, clicking on one of the navigational links can resolve the problem. If this doesn’t work, please try again later. Or, if you would prefer immediate assistance, you can call us at 1-866-314-0237 (Mon-Fri 6am-8pm MST).
when I check a application status for my mother with her information the page opens normaly,
when I was check a application for me with my information the page gaves me this error message.
obs: I already have one card with them I was trying to apply for the cash magnet. Does anyone here have the same issue?
Interesting... I have no problems here.
Sometimes this is a browser issue. I can't log in to AMEX from the first splash screen, I have to click "log-in" and go to the log-in screen. When browsing from Chrome I have no such issue. Try one of the other browsers, or clear cookies on your current browser and see if that helps. Cheers!

+1 .. You also could try "Incognito" mode.
Clean your browser history especially cookies
I have the same issue with my application status page.
Cleared cookies, tried different browsers and different devices, nothing worked
Eventually I just gave up and called
