I am not understanding this. Why would you carry a balance on either of the cards if you want to take advantage of the rewards? You could have gotten the BCP and just pay off the balance before the card reports and it won't effect your utilization at all. It will be harder to get CLI on more than one card because American Exp will only give you CLI on one card every 61 days.
