Amex asking for access to bank acct / 4406t

I was trigger happy and decided to apply for Amex delta. Mistyped my ssn and got a “we need access to your bank account to review your finances” or something along those lines. I had the option to “verify now” or “verify later”. I chose later. Then I’m the next screen it asked for income verification and to upload tax form. Then I got an email from EX that they had blocked an inquiry (forgot freeze was on). I decided that it was too much of a hassle and that the Delta card wasn’t worth it at this time. Odd that even with a SSN mistype I was still able to get an alert.
Can I just ignore this now and will it effect me applying for other Amex cards in the future?
I’m already Amex card holder.

You'll at least need to unfreeze EX if you want to apply for Amex in the future.

Yes you can ignore it for now but they will require Experian  only in the future and there is a good chance they will want the same stuff they asked for this time being your Tax transcripts if you apply in the future as well as something got them curious and they have internal records of previous applicants, etc.  So chances are if you apply for any card in the future they will request this again

No, not normal, but it does happen.

I had this problem a couple years ago when doing my app for the PRG. I just started over on the application with the correct ssn and unlocked Experian, approved instantly. Got a letter in the mail for the failed application a week later. You might just want to try starting over with the correct info.

You must have put a large income on your app. Did you? Or was that a “typo” too? Don’t you have to verify your social twice on the app?
