Amex everyday preferred ?

So I couldnt resist since my EX score jumped 15 pts. to 698. and app again and had to call fraud dept. and he process the app and said that it was not approved and I asked him why I could not get approved.. and he said well you have alot inqs and I explained why I have so many on there so he informed me that i could call tomorrow and talk to the underwritting team and see if they could get me a low approval SL or something. So I am hopping that really can happen. What do you guys think? Or is this one just down the drain?

Well it seem amex i don't care about hp but if you have a baddly or high UTL they may not approved you

I hear they weren't too inquiry sensitive, but there may also be a line. There is a chance that they could still approve, but I don't know that it's a high chance. Update on what you decide to do.

IMO you need to chill with apps for awhile and garden. That number of inquiries can pose a problem with any profile.

OP, as other posters have indicated, it's a YMMV situation, but I will say that I just got approved for a Delta Gold Amex on Saturday with 25 inquiries on EX, 676 Fico. Low SL of $1K, but at least I'm (back) in with Amex, which is what I've been wanting! Good luck to you--you may still have a chance! Keep us posted!

Yeah generally Amex isn't terribly inquiry sensitive like some lenders but if that's there reason for a denial it's a pretty good sign to cool off in the garden for a while. Sorry for the denial.
