Post discharge applications

Hi all,

So i was recently approved for Capitol One Quicksilver1 rewards card.  I followed the advice of many and applied for the Platinum card, but was denied.  I called to recon today and Capitol One said they will review my app and get back to me in about 15 days, but the denial reason was not based on my credit history but it was based on my first application?

Any advice appreciated.  Trying to get two lines of credit open to get moving forward again.  Thanks!

Most are able to get both, while others get one card and then denied for the other.  I would wait to hear the decision and move from there.  I spreaded my apps apart when I first got approved for the platinum.  I waited a month and went for the QS1.
