Amex fraud has to call me.

Hey guys,

I've got an app in for SPG and it's approved, but I've got to jump through some hoops.

I caled in and they said that someone from fraud department has to call me and ask me some security questions to finalize everything. has anyone heard of this? The rep told me that It's been approved, pending this call. Eery other app, i just had to call in and answer public records questions. I'm not really concerned, its just inconvenient, because now i have to sit by the phone for who knows how long to get it squared away.

Hey guys. I apped for SPG and it came back with a needs further review statement. I called in to the automated app status line and it said it was approved. Online, however, it says check back in 24 hours. Chat reps can't see the account either.

I called in and it was indeed verification. They said that they would need to call me and ask questions to make sure it wasnt fraud. I'm assuming that's an approval. has anyone had experience with this?

i think cobranded travel cards need to be linked and take a day or 2 to complete. i bet its yours.

Update: I called in again and realized that the app I was approved for was the PRG from 2 weeks ago. I guess I'll call in tomorrow

Wait, you already have an AMEX and they won't let you do the security verification on the spot for the pending application? I've never heard of this. Did you ask if there is anything you can do right now so they can send your approval?

I did. I asked two different reps, one who was in the actual fraud dept. They want to call me so they know i didnt spoof the phone number or something. I just did OTP verification like you said a couple weeks ago for my PRG. IDK.
