Amex no more 2 for 1?

Not sure if this has been mentioned but pulled trigger on Amex for myself.

DH and i will be travelling so went for plat. then the BCE. Will BCE said cannot be approved. Got email saying done processing it, checked website says cancelled. Tried again and same results. Did some googling it looks like it could be verification or only 1 app in 30 days based on what i found. Not mad though, since my EX inqs are low now.

On a side note i saw on DH login that they have the option to move credit limits under the account services section.

I don't have Amex....yet. But that is strange because I thought I recently where people were still getting one each of a charge and revolver at the same time. I'm not sure about that 30 day deal.

I was able to get my SPG and Platinum on the same HP. They did a 2nd one a week later for the SimplyCash.

This was exactly 1 month ago.

could just be verification. Might have to call in.  Hopefully if u do end up wanting the card that it doesnt take a 2nd hp.....

hopefully you got at least 75k on the plat!

Yes I saw that but it's not as good as it seems. It seemed to be suggesting that I could move some of the limit between account A and account B, but when I tried it, it didn't work, said account hadn't been open long enough.

@SouthJamaica sounds similar to cap1 with moving limits.

My data point for the last 10 days ia as follows.

I appd for the Hhonors card on 6/23 approved instantly. Apped for Delta Gold right after and it went to in progress. I left it alone and didn't call in and got approved on 6/29. 2 HP's though.

Amex acct. you are moving from must be open 13 mths b4 u can move limits to another,,if I remember correctly..
