Is this a legit offer?  50k points.  No way I will meet that but the travel perks on this card intrigues me. Thanks

50K offer isn't that impressive. You want to shoot for the 75K or 100K offers. I've been able to get the 75K to populate, but I've personally have never been offered the 100K offer.

The perks should probably do more than just intrigue you before you app for this card - especially if you can't meet the spend for only 50K in points. The Citibank Ultima card intrigues me but there is no way I'd even think of apping for it.

The 100K is! I'd all for a PRG 40k long before a platinum at 50K

Let's not forget cobrand Platinums...you can try the perks with a modest bonus when you'll be using them...then app for a proprietary one sometime when 100k is available.

I love my Platinum specially now with the 5x for flights. This year I racked up 750k points and if the business does well I should see some where around 1.5M miles. The $450 annual fee to me is more than worth it. Since we travel alot I've used the $200 Airline credit with Jetblue and TSA Pre Checl $85 dollar fee. I've also used the Private jet $300 credit for a empty leg from LAX TO LAS and covered my part of the flight. I also travel a lot on cruises and having not having to pay international fees is amazing. Edit: I also applied for the 100k offer.
