Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Hi All,
I tried searching for this but it clearly is buried deep within search. I'm currently an Amex cardholder amd want to add. Another product. Where can I find out if I'm pre-approved for any cards? Will it show a list of cards and once applied will it be a soft hit?
thanks

Under "cards" select "check for pre-Qualified credit card offers"
You can also just select the card you want and click on "Apply". If it comes back with "Aspireto850, you're pre-approved" you have a preapproval, if it comes back with phrasing like "Expanding your membership with us is easy, Aspireto850" (I forget the exact language) you don't have a preapproval for that card.
Odds are the application will be a soft pull but that's not a guarantee. Several of us here have taken additional HPs when adding to our AMEX portfolio.
Exactly, and I think you nailed the verbiage word for word too ![]()
You're the best, thanks! Thought that was the case but not sure. Plus I didn't realize I could just select the card to see if pre-approved!
have an awesome week!
omg LOL, I was expecting to see "aspireto850" on the screen! HAHA. but I had wish I'd known this before I applied last week! Dang, but yes "applying to expand your card membership with us is easy, likehopeandpain" is what it says.
You should get double bonus Kudos for that post, Coldfusion.

Thank you.
I should have also mentioned in my above post that not getting a preapproval doesn't mean that you would be denied if you applied.
A preapproval effectively equates to there being a high probability of approval (I'm guessing in the 80-90% range), not getting a preapproval really only means that the odds of approval didn't reach that necessary threshold and not that one had 0 chance of approval.
