Just received an email from AOD to submit documents, i.e - drivers license, pay stubs, selfish with aod, proof of residence, and bank statement and membership to one of their approved places, hope this works out for me! I asked for $12,000 on the credit card
Denied due to DTI, which I see is bs but is what it is, 🤷♂️🤷♂️
I'm at $160,000 income yearly, have a $300,000 mortgage, $60,000 truck loan, $49,000 car loan, no other debt, 14 credit cards at 9% utilization, most cards are zero balance, lowes card is only card that has a balance and its at $3600, car loan is paid down to $31,000, truck is paid down to $54,000, house is down to $260,000, so to me I'm not across my DTI, but the lady said to reapply in January, they did grant me membership though for a savings
crossing my fingers for you. Just to give you some DP's, I was denied last month for it and they pulled a 779 on EQ.
Reasons for denial was
- Serious delinquiency
- Too many accounts with balances
- Too few accounts currently paid as agreed
- Length of time revolving accounts have been established
My delinquiencies are from nearly 5 years ago (late payments, no collections, no BK). All my cards have balances but most are under $100, overall UTI is <1% and always PIF every month. My AAoA is 8y2m. They're tough.
Good luck on app!! 👍🏻
Sorry, that post was NOT for AOD, that was for my Penfed denial. I was denied AOD due to number of accounts with delinquency on credit bureau report and length of time revolving accounts have been established. I tried to recon, but still wasn't able to get approved. I guess credit unions don't like me much.

@Anonymous- did they provide you the reasons why you were not approved last year (May)?

Sounds good, hoping to see your approval post soon!
Good luck!

It's crazy that having multipe credti cards with even low balances will freak out other credit card companies. I'm in the same boat as you. I have balances spread over like maybe 5-7 cards but my overall utlization is like 13%. But I still get turned down for credit line increases and they site that as the reason. Note to self once I pay down most of these balances I'll just carry a balance on one card only

That seems to be a known factor. Does it make sense? No, not at all since debt is debt no matter if it is on one account or 30. But hey, just play the game they want us to play.

Good luck. I will approach this by the end of the year or next year. Personally, I prefer credit unions and small local banks over the big guys. What did you do to be membership eligible?
