My preapprovals were solid when I tried. I had a 663 Experian.

Re: Amex pre-qualified - my chances of approval?

I tried the prequal this evening and the first two cards (Everyday and BCE) only came up for me; I applied for the BCE and was approved with a $1K SL. Not quite sure who they pulled yet (Southern California) but from what I've read if it is Experian my score according to MyFico was only 638 if you can believe that; a miracle in itself!

Yeah AMEX has been approving lower scores since the loss of COSTCO.  I still cant get in with AMEX so be happy you made the cut.

1. Amex prequalifications are relatively solid.

2. If your scores haven't dropped during the past couple of weeks, you're probably going to be accepted.
