Finally tried to use own before 2022 hit
went to site start via prequalify to make sure
Booom gone
not eligable tried again to make sure yep it is gone
WHY?
OP, your post is kinda hard to understand, what do you mean by gone?
Prequal page is intact, so are you saying they dont have prequal for you at this time or that you cannot find pre-qual page?
i was prequalifed for amex a few cards and was thinking apply later at that time by jun 2021
now tried again no prequalify at this time all other conditions same
even they have two diffrent pages tried both pages
@mustangy having prequal after burning amex means nothing, you still have same chance of getting denied with or without pre-qual.
If you're curious, feel free to apply. Often there is no HP if on BL, while for others there is HP followed by denial.
It's usually but not always a single pull, and unfortunately, its the only way to find out

Maybe it's something in their algorhythm, or perhaps your scores went down, who knows? You may just want to apply for a card you're interested in, to see if you're blacklisted. I had a lot of debt with Amex, and settled for less than full, and they still did a hard inquiry when I applied. Although I was denied a card, I know that I am not blacklisted. In fact, the denial letter doesn't mention my history with them- most likely because I did pay them back over 50 percent of what was owed. The letter listed my score and what was on my report that were the reasons for denial.
Hope this helps. Good luck getting back in with Amex.
