1. If denied how long till you can reapply for the same amex card?

2. If denied one paticular amex card can you be approved for a different amex? So apping for a different card.

Thank you

Re: Amex question

you can reapply whenever you want but if you don't fix the reasons for denial then the decision won't change. You'll get a letter stating why they denied you. Take a look and see what they want you to fix. I wouldn't imagine you'd have more luck with another Amex card but who knows.. Probably not worth the HP if you've already been denied. You could also wait a few months and check their pre-qualification site to see if you get any offers.

QuickSilver - $20,000 | Amex ED $12,000 | Commence $5,000 | IT $2,200 | Freedom $2,000

1. If you app any other Amex-issued card in 30 days, your application will be automatically cancelled upon submission.

2. You only waited half an hour on a Friday night for replies. No need to bump the thread.

1 is not true. I applied for the ED, denied for score too low, score went up 60 points, applied two weeks later for the same exact card and was approved for $5k.

2. Yes, you can be approved for one if denied for another. Applied for Delta Skymiles Gold and was denied, and three weeks later applied for PRG and was approved. The charge cards (Green, Gold, PRG, Plat) are thought to be easier to obtain than the credit cards.

I'm trying to get a screenshot of my declines and cancellations to show you that isn't true either, but the site isn't loading for me right now.

Re: Amex question

Ditto. I tried to get one to accompany my post and it just kept timing out.

Re: Amex question

DeeBee thank you for the input. I only bumped it because I dont spend hours on here. I have other things to do. So if I want to "bump" my thread once then I will! Thanks Smiley Wink
