Long story short, in 2016, I burned Amex for around 12k and never made them whole. Today I decided to test the waters and this is what returned! I am not sure how reliable is this but it offered me to accept the card with a HP.Amex Plat
Shocked. Not at all consistent with AMEX SOP.
Congratulations.

That is where I am confused. I dont want to waste a HP if it is not going to result into a definitive approval. Apart from that, I am also planing on getting a revolver CC and I dont know which one should make the best combination. I need a bit of insight into what revolver I should seek. Once I figure that out, I am going to pull the trigger

Exactly, I almost fell off the chair.
I have a question for the pros.
I have three AMEX that were CO'ed in 2016. They are still showing in my AMEX login account. Amex pre-approval returned an AMEX Plat that I would like to pull the trigger on.
Where should I register the new account?
Given the fact that three AMEX are already showing in my online AMEX Account, can I register it there without having any unintended consequences?Amex Cancelled Acounts
Amex approved me for the BCP 7 years after burning them for $4K and not paying it back. My SL was $5K, the card is now at $15K a year later.
I used my old login and it shows the two cards that have been cancelled. I am slowing paying off the $4K but it seemingly had no impact on my BCP approval.

Amex Plat
Dont forget the charge cards, even the platinum, arew usually easier to get for the revolvers. Id test the waters with this revolver. What I would DEFINITELY avoid is having deposit accounts with them like their high yield savings.. bc they could easy jack that money and apply it to your old COs depending on jurisdictional law.. but even then its amex and fighting them to get even 10k back that you owed them regardless of any civil law they could break by taking your money in an account they own would be tough.
so TREAD lightly my friend.
If you can afford the platinum, take it.. wait until you start seeing that revolving option pop up on amex then maybe go for a flat out amex revolver app.
Good luck. Amex is a bunch of knuckleheads who have truthfully been in trouble with the CFPB for holding decade old COs over current applicants head illegally somewhat according to CFPB
dude btw I WOULD TAKE IT 125k is AN AMAzing deal

I am so curious how this turns out. Kudos.
