Amex with no hard pull?

I app'd for my PRG on 12/24/16. I'm an existing Amex card holder. I'm going to be stoked if it's not an HP. I'm going to give it some more time and report back!

That's awesome! My PRG took a few months before the HP showed, which I was like sweet I didn't get a HP and than all my hopes and dreams were dashed when that HP came through. I have to admite I'm jealous of you

I thought I might have avoided a HP but pulled Experian recently to see what was up. I've been with AmEx for 10 years now and had recently opened a regular ED card to replace my very old Blue Cash since I wanted to start hoarding MRs. In November I apped for an EDP 30k bonus and they pulled Exp. Between November and December I apped for Plat 100k, PRG 50k (same day) and then regular Gold 25k & Green 25k (same day, a few weeks later). Approved instantly for all of these charge cards with no further HP after the EDP. Had some big spending to do around holidays and now sitting on a ton of MRs. It may be that these were charge cards, but 4 additional cards on a prior pull over the course of a month is pretty awesome.

Interesting. Were these target offers from Amex? Or just cold apps for new cards?

Cold apps all through incognito for highest signup bonus. Only Plat & EDP had annual fee, rest were waived. EDP & Plat 3k spend PRG 2k spend and Gold/Green were 1k spend.

I got SPG in Aug 2017 and BE in Feb 2018 both SP and an EX FICO 776 and cards since 2011.

Data Point: Targeted PRG (50K) approval in January 2018 with no HP (thus far).

if you are pre approved for other accounts within the account dashboard than there is no HP for sure even if you apply that same card without log on from private browser (safari etc for better sign up bonus)
