Andrews FCU

I applied for memebership, but havent been approved yet. My questions are about their credit cards, but I haven't found the answers so far. I'm definitely applying for the Titanium card, but also want the Simplicity card. By March 2021 I'll be 1/12 for new cards. My Util will be 3% with $113K and 4-6 INQs on all 3 bureaus. How are they with approving 2 cards at once? I'm not concered about 2 HPs. Is $113k too much available credit? I have 2 cards, $21k combined, that I plan on closing eventually. Closing them will still leave me at 3-4% Util. The other DP is my Gold card not counting into Util. I only pay the statment balance each month, so it will show between 2-3K

Re: Andrews FCU

I wouldn't count on being able to acquire 2 cards from them back-to-back.

What is it about the Simplicity that appeals to you?  You looking for a low-APR no-BT-fee card?

You already have a few accounts, even discounting the AU cards, with > $10K CL so going for the Titanium isn't a pipe dream.

I wouldn't worry about having $113K in aggregate credit.

Re: Andrews FCU

Thanks for the insight. Yeah the Simplicity is mainly the 0 BT fee. I can get a slighty better, .2%, apr on a card from GE credit union, or my Speedway card always has a 6.99% BT offer for as long as I have a balance. But they both have either a 3-5% fee, negating that apr difference. We'll see how I feel in a few months, but I may pass on both cards

I have been with Andrew's a few years now with a car loan, paying like the green grocer. I was sorta interested in their Titanium Rewards VISA, and they never offered me any mailer on it. Now this past month I get a mailer for their Simplicity Card, but that one is of no interest to me. Hopefully someday they change their offer for their Titanium card.

Good Luck in getting whatever card you go for OP! Smiley Happy

Re: Update: Andrews FCU

I messaged Andrew's about getting both cards and how long between apps. Their response was that right now Andrew's does not allow members to have more than 1 active Visa Card. As a MFer, I was shocked, such blasphemy.

I'll probably just do the Simplicity  card. That $0 BT fee is nice. I probably can't get approved for 50k, ahem like some people, but hopefully 15k is possible

Do you know if they do a hard pull for membership?

Soft pull for membership. I'm not in their footprint, but I applied after joining the ACC

Re: Andrews FCU

Admittedly, I decided to start with them by applying for membership this week. Intrigued by the approvals. My membership app went pending as they replied and asked for my TU to be unfrozen. Odd because during the application process I answered a bunch of those "verify you" questions that clearly came from somewhere even though the 3B's are frozen.  When I called they confirmed it would be a SP for membership. I'm waiting for their next message/update.

I inquired, and they responded that it would be a TU soft pull.

More worried about Chex heard it was either an Exp or TU sp as well for membership, but rest assured a chex pull Smiley Tongue
